Excitement all the way for round Shuna pursuit race

LIGHT conditions did not provide the most auspicious start for this year’s Round Shuna pursuit race.

The zephyrs finally filled in to a lovely breeze, however, to ensure the success of this popular event run by Clyde Corinthian Yacht Club (CCYC) off Craobh Haven.

Some 30 yachts competed with staggered start times according to handicap, the theory being all boats come together for a nail-biting finish. The option of circumnavigating the island to either hand adds to the skill of the chase.
