THE THIRD week of a month-long campaign to promote safety on Argyll’s rural roads has seen 20 motorists stopped by police in Mid Argyll alone.

According to figures released by Police Scotland, in the same period six drivers were warned over various minor road traffic offences, two ‘vehicle construction and use’ offences were detected, one fixed penalty notice issued for a traffic offence, while two people were arrested for drink driving.
