Police Scotland have launched a Facebook campaign to select a name for their latest recruit – a four-and-a-half-yearold Clydesdale horse – with Brodick among the shortlisted choices.
The Police Scotland Clydesdale horse looking for a name.
Traditionally, Police Scotland name all of their horses after places in Scotland so the options were shortlisted as Harris, Montrose and Brodick. Described as a laid-back character with a cheeky look, the 17 hands-high police horse successfully completed his 28-day assessment to join the mounted unit and required a name suitable for the position. Users were invited to vote for their favourite and the winner will be announced on Facebook shortly.
