Montrose House, which has been forced to suspend respite care, has six outstanding vacancies, it emerged this week.
As previously reported by the Banner, the Brodick care home has a staff crisis with an increasing number coming from the mainland and having to be put up in rooms at the home.
A spokesperson for North Ayrshire health and social care partnership said: ‘Recruitment on Arran, not just in Montrose House, can be challenging at times and there is continuous work ongoing to address the situation.
