IT’S NOT only fitness which is affected when you stop training – your brain suffers, too. A study at the University of Maryland School of Public Health examined cerebral blood flow in a group of masters athletes (ages 50-80 years) before and after a 10-day period during which they stopped all training.
Fitness losses occur when you do not train and cerebral blood flow deteriorates
