THE THINGS WE LOVE THIS MONTH
PRIDE
COAST TO THE COAST
Pack your swimsuit, slap on the suncream, grab a Mr Whippy and head to the Kentish coast for Margate Pride. It promises a celebration of diversity, love and activism in the local and wider community, and the area is experiencing something of a renaissance, with the recently refurbished Dreamland amusement park offering a slice of old-school seaside fun. The main Pride parade kicks off on 12 August at 2pm, and there’ll be performances from Sink the Pink and Glynfamous, Sister Bliss from Faithless, and Britain’s Got Talent’s crumble-loving novelty act Lorraine Bowen.

This model is certainly selling the idea of formalwear on the beach or the marina to us, but that might be the thirst talking…
