Scottsdale, Arizona-based StandardAero reported the redelivery of the 200th Rolls-Royce RB211-535 engine on January 29, less than five years after inducting its first unit.
StandardAero supports the global RB211-535-powered Boeing 757 fleet after entering into a life-of-type maintenance agreement with Rolls-Royce in 2018. Under the agreement, the MRO maintains the powerplants at its 810,000sq ft (75,251sq m) facility in San Antonio, Texas. The facility inducted its first engine in April 2019 and finalised test cell certification in November 2020. StandardAero said it is now taking bookings for 2024 slots.
James Campbell, vice president and general manager of StandardAero’s San Antonio facility, said: “Redelivery of our 200th RB211-535 engine is a testament to the technical excellence and customer focus of our San Antonio team. We continue to expand our RB211-535 capabilities, including the addition of new regional certification approvals. Our recent introduction of CFM International LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B capability at the facility will further extend our ability to support the cross-fleet MRO needs of operators around the world.”
