THE MIST hung low and the rain fell steadily, soaking those who attended services of remembrance around Mid Argyll.
What was not dampened were feelings of pride and gratitude for sacrifices past and present, made by men and women so that we might live in the state of freedom we presently enjoy.
With political and economic instability increasingly prevalent around the globe, Sunday’s ceremonies at town and village memorials seemed to have a significance not witnessed in many a year.
