AN INVERARAY community group has appointed a teenager to lead the organisation. At a meeting earlier this month, members of the Inspire Inveraray community company voted in 19-year-old Kyle Renton as its new chairperson, taking over from Derrick Anstee who will remain as vice-chairman.
With a keen interest in politics and having lived in Inveraray for most of his life, Kyle feels he is well placed to lead the Inspire Inveraray community company - formerly known as the Inveraray Community Company. He said: ‘Yes I’m 19, and people may think that’s quite young, but I have a great inter-est in local matters and aiding the local community to create development and opportunities to aid the economy and help the local community thrive.’
