Autism Parenting  |  Issue 151
While April may be a time for wildlife to emerge, with some animals building shelters to protect their babies, for parents of children with autism, this may also be a time to assess or reassess the support systems in their lives. Our theme this month is “Building a Support Network” - we share tips for creating a solid foundation of individuals and strategies, an array of coping skills for caregivers, and insight into providing encouragement and assistance to neurotypical children as siblings of a child on the spectrum. Because April is also Autism Acceptance Month, we included personal narratives from parents celebrating their families. Happy reading!
