TWO LOTS OF VINTAGE SINGLES: $1,750 (EBAY)
They were time capsules of old-school collecting. Two small lots of well-loved cards from the 1930s, marked by creases, rough corners and glue stains on the back that hinted at how they’d been stored for decades. Condition-obsessed collectors wouldn’t have given them a second glance. Their loss. Because a closer look revealed something the auction title hid: This was a treasure trove of vintage hockey autographs, including Hall of Famers Charlie Conacher, George Hainsworth, Hap Day, Busher Jackson and Red Horner, among others.
