Throughout 2021 we are looking at cakes and bakes that have shaped our cultural and culinary landscape. The traditions of why we eat what we do, when we do and the cultural, historical and sometimes religious factors that have elevated our sweet treats to national and global mainstays. Cake artist Zoe Burmester will be ‘virtually’ globetrotting around the world looking at cake culture from Europe to Asia, the Caribbean and Middle East and sharing some of the world’s best loved cakes and bakes. This is one for those who want to keep perfecting their modelling of people – looking at positioning of arms and legs, hairstyle and facial features. We love how her headband coordinates with her dress, but remember you can change her outfit and her hair to suit your recipient and also for a boy!
