SUPPORT from the unveiled MOK Run mascot proved motivational to the sprinters at the junior races on Saturday, as two course records were smashed.
MOK Coo, designed by Castlehill primary pupil Eoin Quinn, was revealed just before the races kicked off, and appeared to be inspirational for the runners right from the start, joining in with the warm-up led by sisters Jenna and Amy McIntosh, and throughout, cheering the mini moo-vers at various points round the 500m, 1km and 2km courses.
Eoin, seven, who was surprised on the day to learn he had won the race committee’s competition, thought up the Highland cow design because of his love of the bovine animals.
