LONG John Silver was behind all in Carradale Drama Club’s production of Treasure Island by Raymond Burke.

Even English-based jokes were lapped up by the east Kintyre audience, once their own have been mentioned, such as a Carradale hotel’s supposed half measures, had been ex posed. Although the proprietor of that establishment, sitting in the second row, did not let the scurvy-ridden crew off Scot free. He would have probably had them walk the plank given a chance.
