Calum is town’s first paramedic

THE Scottish Ambulance Service in Mid Kintyre and Islay is building for the future with the introduction of its very first paramedic.

Calum Lawson, 28, underwent a rigorous eight-week examination process firstly at the Redlands National Training Centre in Glasgow and then at Inverclyde Hospital, Greenock, for four weeks.
