Canadian Yachting Magazine April 2020 Back Issue

Only $5.99
The April issue of Canadian Yachting magazine marks the start of Summer 2020 and spring launch for all those Canadians not fortunate enough to already be out in the Pacific! (Do you sense a little envy there?) Where ever you prefer to go boating, one thing is always important; safety for all.

The major feature in the April Canadian Yachting is “Safety at Sea: Creating a Culture of Safety”
by Rob MacLeod, The InformedBoater. He writes that in his 45 years of teaching sailing and boating there has never been a subject more aligned with my love of boating and cruising than this one. Rob starts with a personal story from the beginning of his journey as a sailor, cruiser and instructor to explain his passion about creating a Safety Ethos (Culture of Safety) aboard each boat, fleet, club and within each association.

Cruising with quiet power for your comfort leads into another feature story by Rob MacLeod, Planning a Cruise – With PORTS Cruising Guide. After decades of perusing charts and guidebooks as part of planning a cruise, he writes that it was a totally different experience editing PORTS Cruising Guide. Rob gives his expert view of the revised and new Georgian Bay, The North Channel and Lake Huron editions.

As always, we have exciting new boat reviews. Our big power cruiser is the Regal 33 Express that has a host of amazing features including a king-size berth! Remarkable accommodations for a 33-footer. Then, read about the Grady-White 235 Freedom Dual Console; an ideal cottage boat but one with the seakeeping qualities for ocean and Great Lakes use as well as versatile fishing features.

The sailors will enjoy our review of the new Bavaria C45, a midsized model with a versatile design that ticks all the boxes: family friendly, flexible, fast and fun. The new Bavaria C45 is an all-around boat that can hold her own in club races but will be a family favorite in the anchorage on the weekends.
