The sun must be casting a pink hue on Planet Pop, because Fuzzbox are making a comeback. The group, who scored a string of hits including Pink Sunshine and International Rescue in the late Eighties and whose original name was the mouthful We’ve Got A Fuzzbox And We’re Gonna Use It, reunited to play London’s 100 Club on 13th November – but that was just the start. “We want to bring some of the fun and unpredictability back to pop music,” vocalist Vix says. “Plus, as we’ve carried this torch for a long while, we’re hoping to open a few doors for the next wave of female musicians.” Vix and fellow original member Maggie on keyboards have put together a fresh line-up following the death of guitarist (and Maggie’s sister) Jo Dunne in 2012. “We’ve recaptured the DIY spirit of the band, but with the professional approach that we acquired later,” they add.
