A few eyebrows were raised when Sting teamed up with Shaggy a couple of years ago but it turns out that their collaborative 44/876 album was just the start of a beautiful relationship. Shaggy told Classic Pop: “I make music with Sting almost every day, we speak all the time. He’s the brother I never knew I had.” In fact, Shaggy’s recent festive collection Christmas In The Islands was originally meant to be another collaborative collection until the pandemic struck. The star added: “We thought it would be cool to do a Christmas album. But we were stuck in different places so I went ahead and did it myself. If it had been with Sting, then it would have been a straight reggae Christmas album.”
