One of this century’s greatest, the Australians’ landmark chillout/ sampledelia/pop album gets a 21st anniversary reissue adding new remixes including Stereolab and the late MF Doom. They’re all fine, but the original album is impeccable, so those new versions are enjoyable froth. The real fun extras are the remixes The Avalanches did for others – giving Manic Street Preachers’ middling So Why So Sad an absolute shoeing and reworking Belle & Sebastian’s I’m A Cuckoo into a glorious psych monster.
