Madonna has defied doctors’ orders to make a spectacular return to London with her latest live show. But the star explained to fans that due to “multiple injuries” she now has to undergo a punishing six-hour daily rehab routine to continue her much-anticipated Palladium residency.
After doctors raised concerns at her injuries, the singer cancelled two dates during the London run on 4 and 11 February to allow her more recovery time between shows. However, despite cancelling all three-night consecutive runs at the theatre, doctors were still concerned that Madonna was pushing herself too far. In an Instagram statement the star told fans: “[Performing] three shows in a row is too much on my body. In fact, my doctors insist I take a day off after every show but I believe I can manage [it] if I do two shows then I rest.
