The unexpected offspring of Steven Wilson’s band, with whom each plays, Trifecta are Adam Holzman, a veteran keyboardist who graced Miles Davis’ Tutu – and it shows – alongside drummer Craig Blundell and Kajagoogoo bassist Nick Beggs. Doubtless each ‘feels’ their music deeply, whether it be Check Engine Light’s quirky time signatures or Lie 2 Me And Take My Money’s sleek funk grooves. Pavlov’s Dog Killed Schrödinger’s Cat provides a breather, but The Enigma Of Mr Fripp’s carousel keyboards amply compensate.
