Asking how many people are seeing The Bronx for the first time, frontman Matt Caughthran sees at least three quarters of those at this sold-out gig raise their hands. Which is rather disconcerting, given that these LA punks have been kicking ass for 20 years and have yet to release anything even approaching a bad album. But it’s never too late to gain new fans, and tonight The Bronx do so with ease.
While there are loads of Amigo The Devil shirts in the audience, others have never even heard of this one-man band and his dark-humoured tales of life, death and tripping on acid. Again, it’s never too late.
