This inexpensive accessory can be easily accommodated in your camera bag, and will produce distinctive results across a variety of photo genres
says Niamh Cottle,
H aving recently discovered a new accessory, I was keen to experiment with it and create some unique images. A simple glass sphere, a Lensball bends the light that passes through it, changing the perspective of how subjects are seen and helping to create intriguing photographs in the process.
A Lensball is an inexpensive addition to your camera setup, and will help you become more creative while shooting a range of different subjects. My Lensball has already become a staple tool within my camera bag, and I have been using it for most subjects I have been photographing at home or locally.
In this tutorial I will reveal how to use a Lensball and explain the different setups and the equipment you need. Then I will showcase a variety of subjects you can photograph with a Lensball – landscapes, macro, portraiture and abstracts.
