GARY JOHNSON RACING ROAD RACING
Howdy folks. Are we all well? I can’t grumble, especially now that naff winter’s finally done one. It dragged on worse than one of Bruce’s stories… and that’s saying something. It’s been a busy month, what with getting the last bits of prep done ahead of the North West and banging in some much needed track time. You’ve probably read that me and Dangerous did a round of No Limits Endurance together. We didn’t win but I got a bit of a spin on my Supersport Triumph. What a weapon that thing is. I’ve been on Trumpets for a good few years now and they never seem to disappoint around the TT course. I can’t wait to blast off on that down Bray Hill.
I’ve also had chance to clock some miles on my RAF Regular and Reserves Kawasaki stocker. Oulton was the track of choice, where I joined a load of fast lads for a round of Superstock 1000. It was a good chance to get things dialled in and we came away from the weekend with a better idea of what direction to take the bike in. That said, I’m writing this from the North West paddock, which is another way of saying we’ve got diddly squat time to make any big changes. It’s my first time back here in a few years, but I’m already buzzing.
