Traditionally, it’s thought that the first three races of the MotoGP Championship in its current form have been something of a false start. These rounds don’t really teach us a great deal about the relative strengths and weaknesses of the title protagonists and really, the season doesn’t start until we get back to Jerez. At the start of the weekend at COTA, Valentino Rossi told us that this just isn’t the case any more. So small are the margins between success and failure, and so fierce the competition, you cannot afford to leave a single point on the table. So, as the MotoGP circus heads back to Europe and Jerez, what have we learned so far?
