PEDIGREE Hailing from Edinburgh and not to be confused with the Nottingham Forest European Cup winner, a teenage Robertson was offered terms by Hibs only to sign for cross-town rivals Hearts. To add insult to injury, the striker was later called ‘The Hammer of Hibs’, for his knack of scoring in derbies. Hearts nearly won the double with him in 1985-86 but missed out on league and cup with consecutive defeats. Newcastle paid £625k to take him from Tynecastle to Tyneside in ’88.
