She has been surrounded by a protective bubble of staff since March, but last week the Queen finally left lockdown to carry out her first engagement beyond palace walls in seven months.
Joined by her grandson the Duke of Cambridge, Her Majesty looked delighted to be back out on duty, as they visited the UK’s national security laboratory at Porton Down, near Salisbury.
