Busy lives mean the two friends rarely get time to see each other. So to fix that, they tell us, they decided to work together on a new comedy
As an in-demand comedian, actress, presenter and mum of three, Katherine Ryan has had to find creative ways of fitting quality time with friends into her jam-packed schedule.
“A real hack to hanging out with your mates now is to write projects where you’re together or invite them on your podcast,” the Canada-born star tells hello!. “The double-edged sword of how blessed we are to be busy is we don’t get to see each other any more. We used to be on the bill together in the basement of a pub and we’d get to have a chat and see each other’s comedy. Those days are gone.” Consequently, Katherine, 39, who welcomed daughter Fenna, a little sister for 12-year-old Violet and one-year-old Fred, on 16 December, was thrilled to team up with her close friend and fellow comedian Romesh Ranganathan for the new comedy drama Romantic Getaway, which began on New Year’s Day.
