I bought a blank canvas for a fresh start

In need of a new beginning, Nova Williams moved into an empty apartment and set about transforming it into a festival of colour

‘The Abingdon sofa from is my best investment, purely because of its versatility,’ Nova enthuses. ‘The misty grey shade works well with all the colours, it’s very hard-wearing and the chaise is interchangeable so can be on the left or right’

Good idea

Like Nova, choose a sofa with a moveable chaise for versatility

Living room

‘Because I’m so into colour, it was always important for my living space to be popping with lots of it. I like pairing warm and sugary sorbet shades like pinks and yellows, which I balance out with turquoise and lime greens. On top of this, I’ve brought in the natural greens of the plants, which work very harmoniously with it all and make the room really come alive.’

‘Decorating my home has made me realise that I’m more emotionally affected by colour than I ever thought before’

Welcome to my home

A bit about me I’m Nova Williams and I live in quiet and leafy Wanstead, London.

Summer gives us all a fresh burst of energy, so we’ve packed this entire issue with ways to bring in the brightness, whether that’s emulating Nova William’s colour-pop interiors on page 14 (check out the Nova-inspired neon accessories on page 22, too) or de-cluttering from top to bottom, just like Claire Stewart (p.50). And for a 1950s burst of kaleidoscopic cool, flip to page 100 for a beach hut makeover like no other. Got the holiday blues? Hang on to that sunshine feeling with our round-up of the biggest Global trends from three vibrant countries: Brazil, France and Morocco.
