When you check the predicted temperature, you may sometimes be greeted with two values: the air temperature and the ‘feels like’ temperature. The main temperature value represents how hot or cold the air is, but the second temperature takes the strength of the wind into account. Called wind chill, this value indicates how the air temperature will feel on your skin when you step outside. When there is more wind, heat escapes from you more quickly, lowering the wind chill temperature.
