Reprogram drum loops with Logic PRO’s Sampler
Logic Pro’s Apple Loops are a brilliant source of inspiration, in particular the many drum loops it offers for you to get your track ideas off the ground. However, if you choose to use one as the main loop, wouldn’t it be great if you could restructure it somehow, to offer some variety in the pattern to use in different areas of the song?
Luckily, Logic has the ‘Convert to Sampler Track’ command. This allows you to slice any audio file into chunks in Logic’s Sampler, generating a MIDI region that plays the chunks back in their original order. You can now rearrange those MIDI notes, too.
