Wee Ginger Dug A Masterclass in Contempt

REASONS for holding a second independence referendum is a bit like waiting for the proverbial bus. You wait ages for a material change in circumstances and then three come along at once. Last month, the landscape in Scottish politics shifted dramatically, and it shifted heavily in favour of an independent Scotland being reborn.

We had the publication of the long awaited report from the Scottish Government’s Growth Commission, which finally nailed the canard that Scotland can’t use the pound. We can go into the next independence referendum without constantly being asked, “What currency are you going to use?” We won’t be being asked “What’s your plan B?” because the people doing the asking didn’t even have a plan A for Brexit.
