ideomass is a graphical front-end for ffmpeg, but boasts of additional useful features, such as the ability to download videos from YouTube, Facebook and other sources.
Popular desktop distros don’t yet carry Videomass in their software repos. Even more disappointingly, the project doesn’t publish any pre-compiled binaries. While you could install the utility with Python’s package manager Pip, you’ll still have to ensure all its dependencies are installed beforehand. pip3 install videomass will install the latest available version of the project and most of its dependencies. On our Ubuntu test machine, we had to install the python3-wxgtk4.0 package before we could get Videomass to work. Thankfully, this package is available in the software repos of most desktop distros.
