LIENWARE once dominated the desktop gaming PC market with its unique cases, but now everyone from Razer to HP has distinctive-looking designs.
The Alienware Aurora R13, available in both black and white, is a return to machines with the wow factor, thanks to its compact form, glass window, and aesthetically pleasing curves. The only people with cause to complain are those used to balancing their cup of coffee on top of their PC, as it will sadly slide right off.
The body of the machine isn’t its only unique feature; the bespoke motherboard sits between microATX and ATX in terms of size. Regarding components, our sample features the best of the best pretty much across the board: Intel Core i9 12900KF CPU, 64GB of DDR5 RAM, and Alienware Cryo-Tech liquid cooling. Only the RTX 3080 GPU lets the side down at this price point, but Alienware has wrung every last drop of performance out of it, to the point where it is a close match for a 3090-powered HP Omen at 1400p and 4K. You can also choose to upgrade the GPU when purchasing.
That glass panel gives you a clear view inside this compact system, most of which is userupgradable. The GPU, memory, and 1TB SSD are all accessible—it’s just the 750W power supply and the motherboard that would be tricky to replace.
