As riders, we get advice from a lot of different sources. Family and friends will often say “Have a safe ride home,” or “watch out for cars.” Legislators tell us what we can and can’t do regarding the speed at which we ride, where we ride, how loud we ride, and whether we wear a helmet. The voice within our helmets also gives us suggestions based upon experience, beliefs and opinions. Why is it then that we sometimes don’t listen to all that good advice?
