So far we’ve seen references to Sonic Adventure 2 and Shadow The Hedgehog – what more from the darker hero’s past will be revealed?
When’s a remaster not a remaster? When it’s ajar just enough for something new to slip in. Sonic X Shadow Generations isn’t merely a prettied-up version of the excellent 2011 PS3 game, it features a whole new campaign centring Shadow.
First introduced in Sonic Adventure 2 as a counterpart to Sonic, Shadow quickly gained fans, starring in games alongside the Blue Blur and even headlining his own in 2005. That one had him using firearms and riding a motorcycle, a sort of Flanderisation of the character to the point of being oddly charming, meaning it holds a place in the hearts of many.
