As I step out of the air-conditioned car and stand in front of Hotel Bellevue in Mali Losinj, a town nestled on the edge of a fragrant forest and beautiful Cikat Bay, it hits me.
A health destination since the late 19th century, when the Viennese and Budapestian elite visited the isle of Losinj for its aromatic o erings, this Croatian paradise is timelessly magical. I can literally smell it in the air - and it’s soon obvious why they call it the ‘island of vitality’.
