Cambrian develops operation of diesel fleet
Stock changes at Shropshire heritage line.
CAMBRIAN Heritage Railways (CHR) has updated its allocation of diesel rolling stock at both its core operation centred on Oswestry and its separate, smaller line at Llynclys, four miles south of the Welsh border market town.
Having previously been based at the Foxfield Railway in Staffordshire, Class 142, No. 142055 arrived at the Llynclys site of Cambrian Heritage Railways on May 7.
CHR says bringing the‘Pacer’ into service will not only allow a seated passenger service to run from Llynclys (as opposed to brake van rides) for the first time since 2019 but will also simplify the operation there. The Class 142 is owned by 142055 Group.
