The rustic aesthetic has long been gaining popularity, perhaps more so since the pandemic. Natural elements, calm tones and the idea of curling up next to an open fire whilst the rain hammers the window evokes a countryside cosiness – it feels safe and nurturing.
But you don’t have to live in the middle of a field to enjoy this look. Equally, there’s no need to cover every surface with a lace doily if that’s not your cup of tea. This more glamorous rustic style is really bold and confident, embracing wood, plants and dark, earthy colour.
