» ORIC-1 » 1984 » ORPHEUS I don’t have many recollections of the Oric-1, largely because I didn’t have any friends who owned one when I was growing up. I do have some knowledge of the system, though and it’s largely thanks to my mum. Well, not my mum, but one of her old boyfriends. He actually had an Oric-1 and he had a fair few games for it. He had no kids that I know of, so he clearly just liked playing videogames.
I can’t for the life of me remember his name, but I can certainly remember some of the games he owned, including a Defender clone called Defence Force, Painter, A & F Software’s take on Amidar and a Pac-Man ripoff called Ghost Globber. Whoever he was, he clearly liked arcade games, and Krillys was one of the best that he owned.
