The state of Maine has long been known for its fine minerals and gems. Th e range of fine gems, useful industrial minerals, and excellent collector specimens is deserving of a fine museum to exhibit Maine’s mineral wealth. Th anks to some serious mineral collectors and friends, Maine now has such a place.
