Pseudoscience: The Conspiracy against Science. Allison B. Kaufman and James C. Kaufman (eds.), MIT Press, 2018. ISBN: 9780262037426. 536 pp. Paperback, $34.95.
The new book Pseudoscience: The Conspiracy against Science includes twenty-two essays organized in six sections touching respectively, the basics of pseudo-science, the costs of pseudoscience for society, scientific soundness, pseudo-science in the mainstream, and science activism. The sixth section consists of a single chapter by Paul Joseph Barnett and James C. Kaufman. For reasons of space, I can briefly mention only a few of the most remarkable contributions.
