South Australian Angler  |  Autumn 2025 – Issue #275
It’s been a long, dry, windy summer, but with the breezes now dropping away and the water cooling, we can look forward to some of our very best offshore fishing. Acknowledging this, we’ve decided to run a little blue water heavy this issue, with stories from several of our best writers.
Jamie Crawford relives a recent trip off the south coast of KI, Charity Selleck provides some exciting moments with kings and samsons off Wedge Island, Jordan Saliba heads south from Port Lincoln, and Rohdey and Dizz set out for Althorpe Island and some deep reef action.
In closer to shore, Steve Starling provides some great tips for fishing light in the surf, Lubin Pfeiffer looks at blue spot flathead, and Alan McIntyre goes back in time to check out changes in the local angling scene. Lubin steps up again with a great callop/cod feature and we take a peak at one of SA’s world-leading fish tagging systems.
Then there are two boat tests, a great calamari recipe, and a whole lot more to keep you informed and entertained over autumn. We hope you’ll like it!
