MAKE YOUR DOG STEADY IN THE FIELD
Over the past couple of months we have been looking at working your dog in the beating line and as part of a picking up team, but many of my clients at Gamegoer aspire to shoot over their dogs either “on the peg” or on
walked-up days. either way, before shooting over your dog you need to make sure that it is steady to game, both fur and feathered, quiet when
it is either hunting or sitting at a peg and is a confident retriever. A dog
that is constantly whining or dancing around during a drive or hunts out of control is not only a nuisance to other Guns but will almost be guaranteed to spoil your day.
