BACKGROUND
“I’m a maths and chemistry teacher and I’ve played games my whole life. In 2003 I moved to Thailand for a year, where there was no board game scene at all. So I started to print and play games a lot, then I started to design my own games, just writing down ideas. After returning to Germany, a friend in my gaming group said, ‘There’s this small publisher looking for very small abstract games,’ so I came up with an idea for that, and from that point I was hooked and wanted to design more games.”
