In the middle of the current golden age on the tabletop, it’s often hard to keep up with the thousands of new releases every year, let alone find time for games a few years – or even decades – old. That’s made even harder when those games have gone out of print, some forever.
In the case of Dune, this summer will see the first new edition of the legendary game in almost 40 years, after decades as a ‘lost’ treasure of the tabletop. It’s a return well worth celebrating, so we spoke to the game’s designers about its creation, disappearance and long road to resurrection, along with a first look at what’s changed.
