ISLERO
Sandwiched between the Miura and Countach, the Islero isn’t just an unsung Lambo, it’s one of the great below-the-radar cars of the Sixties. Founder Ferruccio Lamborghini favoured it, as did Brigitte Bardot, and what it lacked in extroversion it made up in unexpected nuance. Only the fourth car created by this still-young company, the chiselled modernism of its shape was the work of Mario Marazzi and Federico Formenti, formerly of premier Milanese carrozzeria Touring.
