2015 was a spectacular year, but to be honest it has also been a complete surprise. It started with a resolution to get out of my closet, and perhaps I should have been more careful of what I wished for…
Let’s get the basics out of the way. I’m no spring chicken (that’s obvious, just look at my photographs) but luckily, makeup was invented to help women adjust their visual age. If a teen can make herself look twentyone, and a fifty-year-old can do the same, with care and practice I can occasionally get close to femininity, though beauty is in the eye of the beholder so you decide.
I think we can agree that genetically I’m male - only having one X chromosome makes it a bit of a giveaway. Yet that is not necessarily my gender - well not all of the time. I strongly believe that there are as many genders as there are people on earth. Similarly, I’m of the view that those who perpetuate the binary view of gender are no better than the Flat Earth society holding on to their outdated vision of reality. Whilst I detest labels, my own brand of ‘normal’ appears to involve a significant amount of Gender-Fluidity. But as they say, it’s more complex than that.
