The first round of the OK and OKJ European Championships in Angerville (F) officially opens the FIA Karting 2019 season. In this first round, the Finn Tuukka Taponen surprises, and after taking pole position also wins the final.

The victory of Finnish driver Tuukka Taponen, to the joy of Kohtala Sports, risks becoming the x-factor that will characterize the entire Junior season, setting the stage for the World at Alaharma in Finland.

QUALIFICATIONS – CAPIETTO ON POLE

Thus, the first surprise of the weekend with the best lap in 50.778 by Maceo Capietto (KR), the home driver, probably an expert of the track, a driver who against all prediction snatched the Friday title by an advantage of only +0.007 seconds on James Wharton (RFM). Alexander Dunne (Tony Kart), Tuuka Taponen (Kohtala Sport), Artem Severiunkhin (Ward Racing) and Jamie Day (Lennox Racing) took home the remaining poles.
