“So far in the series, I’ve scored the maximum points in qualifying and the heats, and been on the podium five times. I trust my team, TB Racing, and their material is always competitive. Consistency is the main priority now. Since I missed the 2020 season due to COVID restrictions in Singapore, I didn’t know what to expect. Leading the championship hasn’t changed my fundamental approach. I come to have fun, learn, and do my best. If I do all three, that’s my definition of winning.
This season I have been living away from my home and family in Singapore for 6 months competing as an official driver for Kart Republic at the WSK and FIA events, in addition to the DKM. I’m looking forward to more races in Germany. The circuit choice of the series has been outstanding because each track has a unique driving character and presents different racing challenges. For example, Genk has harsh conditions, Kerpen has a lot of grip, and Wackersdorf has many narrow corners. I’m not sure if I will get any testing at Mülsen or Ampfing, but I hadn’t raced at Kerpen or Wackersdorf until the DKM either, so I feel confident that we will adapt and be on the pace. Other than the great organization and the excellent circuit choice, I especially enjoy the atmosphere. We are all here to compete, but the paddock feels like one big family.
